KEY DATES

  • Pledge Collection Begins: Monday, October 19 with pledging extending through read-a-thon week

  • Read Week: Saturday, October24 - Friday, October 30

WHAT IS THE READ-A-THON?

The Roosevelt Read-A-Thon is a fun, optional event designed to support our school. It's our second biggest fundraiser of the year, so every reading minute supports our school! Last year we raised over $16,000! Let’s see what we can accomplish this year!

PLEDGE WEEK: WHAT TO DO

Set up your child's pledge page HERE and click "Add Participant" to choose your child's teacher from the 'Group' dropdown menu. Each Roosevelt student in your family will need their own page.

Share the Link to Pledge Page to everyone you know! After registration, you will receive an email with your child’s personal pledge page link. Share this link widely via text, email, or social media so friends, family, and neighbors can support from anywhere!

READ WEEK: WHAT TO DO

  • Read, Read, Read!

  • Track Your MINUTES: Psst… Don’t forget! At the end of Read-a-thon week, enter your total minutes read into THIS Google Form by Wednesday, November.

  • Every Type of Reading Counts! Whether it's listening to audiobooks or reading aloud to siblings, all forms of reading are encouraged!

AFTER READ WEEK

  • Submit Total Minutes: Submit your minutes on THIS Google form

  • Winners Announced: Once all the totals are in, prizes will be awarded. 🎉 Keep an eye out for winner announcements in early November!
